You will need:
- Silk fs
- Hair clip or pin backing
- Hot glue
- Acrylic gold metallic paint (if desired)
Pull
fs and leaves off the stalks. You may need to snip off some of the plastic
from the bottom of each f with scissors or wire cutters to get the fs to
lay flat.
For the hair clips, first hot glue the leaves to the clip base, allowing
them to hang over the edges. Attach as many leaves as you need to lay
down a nice full base. Then attach the fs one at a time. Roses make a
nice full arrangement, but I have also used other types of fs and bunched
them closely together. Try to arrange the fs so that they are fuller in
the center, and tapering toward the edges.
For an interesting metallic look, paint the fs and leaves before attaching
with watered down metallic acrylic paint. Allow them to dry fully before
gluing on. |
