"Things you can do with ... "Don't
throw that out! You can make something with it! This is where we put the
ideas that don't seem to go anywhere else. If we get enough of one idea,
we put it on its own page, so be sure to check over
here for more ideas!
I use old baby wipe containers as a Kleenex holder for the car. I
got really tired of all those smashed up boxes and dirtied tissues in
the car whenever I needed them, so I took an empty baby wipes container,
washed and dried it and cut a rectangle with rounded edges in the lid.
Then I just stuff the tissues in the box (they are a wee bit longer
than most wipes boxes, but they do hold a full box of tissues). That
way they always stay clean and since the lid clicks down, tissues don't
fall out everywhere! Contributed by Lynne
Book Covers - We use them for in school is BOOKCOVERS. The thing
about using paper bags for bookcovers is you can decorate them any way
you like. You can also decoupage them. Have fun with this idea. Contributed

Heart-Shaped Button Pin - Cut a heart shape out of old strong carboard
boxes. Cut and glue strands of different coloured pearls around the
outside of heart shape (I recyle old necklaces for this as well). Make
a pattern like a quilt with the buttons on top of the carboard anyway
you want. Larger buttons glued first than small ones, use small pearls,
gold pieces, little bits of lace or ribbon, use your imagination to
create. Sizes can vary from 2 inch heart to 3 or 4 inch heart. Use buttons
off of clothes of ones you love or just hunt for Vintage buttons. They
are wonderful. Glue a pin back on back of heart and your signature and
you're done. Theme buttons work really well - we have a pet goose and
I found a button in the shape of a goose. Contributed by Diane, Diane@islandmicro.com
Design patterns - The corrugated cardboard light bulb boxes make
great and interesting designs on home made cards. On the corrugated
side, use cookie cutters to trace on patterns and cut. Decorate (run
over a stamp pad, put glue in the ridges and sprinkle with glitter or
paint) then glue the smooth side to the front of a card. This is a lot
cheaper than buying corrugated paper or die cuts. Contributed by

MOUSE PADS:
Decorate Bathroom Scales - I used my old mouse pad for my bath scales.
I first painted my scales with enamel paint to match my bathroom. Then
I took my old mouse pad, cut it in two, and then rounded the corners
where I cut them. I then glued the cut pieces where your feet go on
the scales, and then I decoupaged a nice napkin that matched my decor
in the bathroom, then I put on a sealer, it turned out nice. Contributed
